I research the history, languages, cultures and religions of the ancient Near East, with a particular focus on ancient Israel and Judah, with a particular focus on priestly religion and texts and expressions of prophecy. I am a lecturer in Hebrew Bible / Old Testament at the department of Theology and Religious Studies at King's College London.
Until August 2013 I worked for the ERC (European Research Council) project 'By the rivers of Babylon: New perspectives on Second Temple Judaism from cuneiform texts', headed by Dr. Caroline Waerzeggers at the Leiden Institute of Area Studies (LIAS) at Leiden University. You can follow my publications on my profile on academia.edu.
